During the development phase, all greenlit and contracted producers will be required to submit a first draft of their budget and breakdown with their second screenplay draft, and a final draft of their budget and breakdown with their final screenplay draft. ITVS will allow producers to budget up to $30,000 total for production and post-production, without exceptions, and applicants should do their best to ensure that their treatments reflect projects within that budgetary range.
Producers are asked to budget reasonably and responsibly, e.g., if the entire $30,000 is not required to produce the project, the budget should reflect that.
Please note that all projects must budget to shoot in HD, and all projects must budget to clear all necessary rights for digital distribution only. If the program is selected to go to broadcast, ITVS will negotiate in good faith to offer producers supplementary financing to deliver the program for broadcast, and clear all rights for broadcast.

will producers be required to carry E&O insurance and if so does that cost come out of the 30k?
We will require greenlit filmmakers to carry E&O insurance, and they will have to budget for it in their eventual production budgets - but only to cover digital distribution. If the program goes to broadcast, the cost of an additional E&O policy would come out of the supplemental financing ITVS intends to negotiate in good faith to offer if/when the program is offered for broadcast.
