Application Procedure: Who on a production team is eligible to apply as Applicant and/or Co-Applicant?

ITVS is primarily targeting writer/directors for AMERICAN VISIONS, though we also allow writer/director teams to apply. We will also be requiring greenlit projects to deliver pre-production elements (budget, breakdown, etc.) along with their screenplay drafts during the development contract term. Thus, the services of a producer will be required soon after greenlight.

If you are the writer/director of your project, list yourself as the applicant, and your producer as the co-applicant (if you have one already – this is not required). If you are applying as a writer/director team, list the director as the applicant and the writer as the co-applicant. In this case, if you have secured a producer, you may include a short bio in the “Production Personnel” section of your proposal, while omitting the producer from the application form (again, this is not required).

If we have regular creative team people (composer, editor, DP) that we work with, do you want bio info on them too for this initial application?

You may include short (one paragraph) bios of these individuals in your proposal, but this is not required.

I am applying as writer/director and another person as producer. There is yet another individual as co-writer. Is this an issue? If not, then do I just include her name in the bio section?

You may have a co-writer on your team. And you may include a short bio as well.
